B | 再就是“挤”。羽毛球、乒乓球等热门场地常年预约爆满，想打场球，得蹲守零点拼手速抢票。“群众反映最集中的就是这三件事。”体育馆副馆长韩士磊说，“体育馆热门场地小程序一放票就秒空，这不是小修小补能解决的，必须动大手术。”体育馆动大手术，是否意味着要在拆和留之间做一道不二的选择题？一座城市地标建筑往往承载着许多城市文化记忆，拆了重建固然省事，但文化记忆难再。于体育馆而言，它承载着很多石家庄人“第一次”，这座1984年落成的省会首座万人体育馆，曾承接第二届世界武术锦标赛、WCBA联赛等高等级体育赛事，也留下过李宗盛、蔡琴、梁静茹等演唱会的动人回声，因此改造提升成为必选之项，而这意味着要在原有建筑上进行精细作业。主馆钢网架体量大、受力复杂，原有结构状况存在不确定性；外立面的壁画等历史元素，必须在施工中同步保护。“既要完成结构加固和功能升级，也要在更新外立面中留住老馆的辨识度。”施工方、中国建筑第三工程局有限公司项目执行经理郭旭涛说，新馆按被动式超低能耗建筑标准建设，主馆应用光伏、导光管等绿色技术，搭建智慧服务、智慧安防、智慧管理等平台。

C | “更难的是，老馆身在闹市。”郭旭涛介绍，通过噪声控制时段、扬尘封闭管理、交通人车分流，尽量让施工期间少惊扰周边居民生活。老馆改造再复杂，最终目的是服务群众健身。“改造后，主馆可开展篮球、羽毛球等多项室内运动，新馆则配建8道标准泳池。”韩士磊说，主馆中心场地由1262.6平方米拓展至2090平方米，具备承办全国单项赛事能力；西侧新建综合运动馆建筑面积34167平方米，地下增设400个停车位，是原有车位的4倍，同步配建母婴室、无障碍通道及适老化设施。
